GROTTO WINE BAR 2021-2023

Grotto wine bar started as a simple and rough, temporary wine bar in a garage from 1920 in conjunction with MELK Gallery. The unique workshop building was bought by Alexander Kloster-Jensen and spouse Marianne Wiig Storaas in 2021. It’s an 400 sq m. old workshop building and garages from the 1920’s. The space was used as an architect office (NAV Architects) from 1993 until 2021, when MELK Gallery was established on the first floor, a contemporary gallery focusing on new Scandinavian photography. In the summer of 2021 we established Grotto, a temporary garage wine bar with a very rustic feel reminiscent of wine cellars in Europe.
